Elements of Praise

P – Progressive. God desires a continuous praise. Psalms 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: and his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

R – Reliable. Our praise should be dependable and certain. We must praise God with our whole heart with security in knowing he will bring us out. Psalms 111:1 Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

A – Apparent. Let our praised be readily seen and pleasant to look at. Psalms 147:1 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

I – Independent. Praise God for the many blessing he has given YOU, free from the influence or control of others. Psalms 146:2 While I live I will praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

S – Self-Insistent. Despite life’s circumstances we must learn how to demand ourselves to give God praise daily. Psalm 145:2 Everyday will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever.

E – Effective. The effectiveness of praise is extremely important. Effective praise results in the presence of the Holyspirit filling the temple. 2 Chronicles 5:13 …and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord. Saying, for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord.
